  2. No matter what the outcome, this council should be better than what we have had over the last 4 years. Cloven stepping off will be a huge improvement. While many are disappointed Holly Tillman remains, Enea will be a good addition. Maybe Holly decides to work with her colleagues instead of accusing them of things or complaining they don't like her. She says she's a consensus builder. It should be easier for her to build consensus without Cloven whining about something from now on!

  3. Thank you ClaytonWatch for the update. It looks like Rich and Holly for sure and maybe Jim for the third slot.

  4. Life on the council should be much improved with Cloven gone. How he (Cloven) ever got elected is a mystery.

    1. Clayton will operate much better without Cloven serving on the council.

    1. Ed, just stop. This isn't 2022 with your failed campaign. I look forward to reviewing your unneighborly comments on Nextdoor soon! Until then, here is to a great 2024 election year!

    2. Beyond annoying Ed. Stick to getting your comments banned on another website. Don't start issues here.

    3. What is annoying about my comment? That I actually want to tell the truth and represent people who don't have a voice? Yes, that is EXTREMELY annoying. Great that I feel so welcomed here on this website.

  6. Is it true Claycord and SaveClayton are merging with Claytonwatch.com? I overheard someone talking about it downtown.

  7. SaveClayton and Clayton Watch are two separate entities. They are run by different people.

    1. From the comment above it sounds like they may become one entity. This would be a major blow to the local newspaper. if someone knows any more information about this possible merger, please comment.

    2. I understand the Diablo Gazette would be part of the deal. Someone should call David King and ask him.

  8. It would be good for the Clayton community if the Pioneer shut down or was taken over by a completely different entity. As it stands now, the Pioneer paper only publishes favorable content from Tamra's friends. Nothing published are facts, articles are all subjective, not objective, and certain reporters fudge their so-called interviews .

    1. I'd be more than happy to sit down for an interview about whatever is good for Clayton. You know where to contact me and I would be ready anytime.

  9. I think Clayton Watch should buy the Pioneer.

    1. Why would anyone want to buy a newspaper that loses money? It sounds more like a fire sale to me.

    2. Ed, respectfully, you spin everything and wouldn't know the truth if it snacked uou in the face.

    3. It's amazing that I can be threatened on a satirical website. Never would have I thought that someone would want to smack me in my face over politics. Amazing.

    4. I’m waiting for Ed to say he isn’t going to take it anymore and issue a challenge to fight in the park.

      How did that go, Ed?

    5. Not gonna happen! Like last time, he never showed up😂😂😂😂

    6. What does that mean??

    7. I still see this site picks and chooses the comments I put up. Completely unfair and biased!

  10. Maybe we can get Elon Musk to by the paper. He could kick everyone out and start fresh, making it a respectable journal.

  11. The local paper needs a total restart. It appears the editor really doesn't care if her bias one-sided reporting is on full display in everything she prints in the paper. It is so refreshing to have a site that just reports the facts and that allows residents to post their unedited opinions on important issues. Thank you Clayton Watch. Keep up the good work.

    1. Has anyone ever noticed her best friend and family are ALWAYS all over the biased, misinformed, and subjective rag? Tamrat should pack it in. Has she figured out why only one candidate has advertised with her?
