Clayton News Update! - An Incumbent Has “Not” Submitted the Necessary Paperwork to Seek Re-election

By Clayton Watch

As of 5 p.m. yesterday, Friday, August 9, 2024, an incumbent did not turn in paperwork to run for re-election and the deadline has now been extended to Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. for anyone else to file. Click here to see who has successfully filed to run for city council.

We support the incumbent's decision not to run and at this time congratulate them for “doing the right thing” for the community. It’s time for the community to heal the divide and come together. Enough is enough.

Regrettably, the legacy of Carl Wolfe, Peter Cloven, and Holly Tillman was to break precedent and create far more division in the community than necessary by their actions against Vice Mayor Wan two years in a row.

Incumbent Holly Tillman is running for re-election, but the members of Clayton Watch feel she may "not" be the best fit for Clayton based on her past negative remarks about our town. More to come - stay tuned.

  7. No need to berate Peter Cloven anymore. He did the right thing by not running for re-election.

  10. Finally, agree, did the right thing. His job performance was miserable, devisive.

  11. Holly could save the city of Clayton $20,000 by bowing out of the election. Someone should give her a call and let her know she’s wasting her time and our money.

    1. Sorry. No. No way. Miller, clinically, same incompetence record as Cloven & Tillman.

  13. Ed Miller already ran for city council and the community didn’t believe his hollow promises. Character matters

  14. Ed Miller has some serious problems, one being he would not know the truth if it hit him in the face.

    1. I agree. I can’t understand Ed Miller and I take that as a good thing. If I did understand him, I would take that as a challenge to my own sanity.

  15. Kind of pointless to comment on Ed Miller, he isn’t running for office. There is a comment saying no need to berate Peter Cloven, he took his name out of the race. Everyone now should be asking the same question, does Holly Tillman deserve another term? That’s it. Unfortunately, she was part of the group that took the divisive step of passing over Vice Mayor Jeff Wan. Is that the kind of leadership Clayton needs?
