The Political Mailer “Featuring Holly Tillman” Has Arrived!

By Clayton Watch

We are pleased to announce some important news for the Clayton community. The Post Office has confirmed that the political mailer created by our consultants and supporters at Clayton Watch will soon be arriving in your mailbox.

This 6x11, double-sided postcard contains factual information supported by substantial evidence regarding Holly Tillman’s actions and statements over the past three and a half years. The content you will see and read reflects her own words.

After reviewing the postcard (both front and back), click here to see several videos featuring Holly in action

Many residents have expressed concerns about the divisions within our community, and the situation is indeed complex. However, the past actions of council members Holly Tillman and Peter Cloven are crucial to understanding the context. Peter opted not to seek reelection, fully aware that his lack of leadership and divisive behavior would come to light. The self-styled Mr. Nice Guy spent more time creating "Who I Am" videos than addressing the pressing issues facing our town.

It is time for the community to move on from Holly Tillman and free our city from her disruptive and polarizing conduct.

We must allow our city council and staff to focus on their work and let Clayton remain the safe and welcoming small town it has always been.

Warm regards,

The Clayton Watch Team

P.S. Please remember to cast your vote on or before Tuesday, November 5th.

    1. A few individuals on Nextdoor are on total meltdown. The truth really hurts and they don’t know how to deal with it. Misinformation and lies is not what this postcard communicated to me and my wife. I’m not sure why this progressive radical group thinks Clayton needs to change. Clayton is a great place to live and we need to keep it that way.

    2. I heard that a second political postcard about Holly is currently being printed. The source mentioned that this one will be smaller and feature a more damaging message.

    3. Who is your source? Are they reliable?

    4. Let’s just say, the person works at a local print shop and saw the artwork.

    5. Regardless of the outcome of the upcoming election, it's essential that the public know the truth about Holly. Thank you Clayton Watch for letting us see the other side of Holly. IMHO it's time for her to go away. As for the second political mailer, I hope it highlights Holly's opportunistic photo opportunity with the Clayton police. I know several officers personally, and I can assure you, they don't have kind words for her.

    6. Thank you Clayton Watch for a very informative overview of Holly Tillman’s destructive and toxic time on the council for the past 4 years. Everything presented on the mailer was factual and accurate. There was no hype.

Yet, Peter Cloven, posted on Clayton Residents how ignorant the flyer was, without presenting one shred of evidence. Just the usual hogwash about how wonderful his friend is. Why would anybody believe him? The evidence against Tillman is so overwhelming, that even he, can’t counter it with anything of merit.

Clayton will soon rejoice after these two clowns are off council and the city can again have constructive dialogue that supports, not hurt our great little town.

  4. This is slander and I will not stand for it! You wonder why Holly stated that Clayton was racists? This is exactly why!! How dare you all do this to her. I am appalled!

    1. Fake website??? I can’t thank the people enough from Clayton Watch. I’ve learned so much about what’s been taking place in our small little town. The information and videos tell the story.

    2. Ed, it is called decorum. Please try it for all of Clayton. Thank you.

  6. I'm eager to uncover more about her connection to Wildcat Consulting. Did they extend an invitation to the protesters in Clayton? Perhaps Holly has some insights. Additionally, why didn’t the council conduct a proper vetting of Amy Hines? It appeared that Holly was quick to get her onto the planning commission. It's astonishing that someone with an arrest record and a status as a registered lobbyist in California was appointed to such a position. Clayton is in dire need of assistance! And it shouldn’t be Holly.

  7. Holly has made her bed and now she has to sleep in it. Nobody else is responsible for her antics. The video clips Clayton Watch posted tells the story.

This is what we have elections for. To hold elected officials responsible for their behavior, and the evidence is clear, Holly is a toxic and destructive mess. She needs to be thrown out.

That you consider this to be racism is intellectually dishonest. Things that you disagree with do not default to racism. You actually do a disservice to Holly by playing the race card. That will garner greater support for getting rid of her. We are not a racist town, and it’s time you and Tillman get a clue. Keep it up Ed, you’re destroying you own candidate.

  8. Holly Tillman and Peter Cloven need to explain why as elected officials they discouraging people from voting. There are 3 seats for city council. But both Tillman and Cloven are instructing their supporters not to vote for anyone else except Tillman. Why are they suppressing the vote? Their supporters have started spreading the false idea there aren't 3 seats that are up for election. Both Tilllman and Cloven supported 2 of the candidates running for city council twice for the Planning Commission but now they are both saying not to vote for anyone else? Does Holly actually want to work with anyone else or is she so desperate to get elected so she can run for some other office? If she had more a record to run on other than berating our small town and our police as racists, segregationists and profilers she wouldn't need to resort to the undemocratic tactic of trying to suppress voters from exercising their full rights to vote!

  9. First of all, this tactic will backfire as at least two of three candidates not named Holly Tillman will get in because there are 3 seats up for reelection this year that is just a fact. And the outcome will be 3 candidates will get elected. That said this campaign not only smacks of blatant interference, but it implies that in their judgment the other candidates are not "suitable" to serve. In who's judgement (as I don't see any names associated with the Instagram ad) and what is their basis or bias? Is it because they are not "like" Holly Tillman"? I thought that one of the premiere features of Ms. Tillmans' campaign and yes, her politics was the supposed agenda that we all deserve consideration and a shot and never should be judged on who we are, or heaven forbid, what are skills are? I find this "Only Holly" rhetoric not only to be extremely hypocritical but quite frankly revolting, absurd and well you can add if you like to this description but one word that comes to my mind begins with an "r....."!

  10. Peter Cloven's thread on Nextdoor was taken down then reappeared as if they sent out a message of "all hands on deck, the Tillman Titanic has just hit the iceberg"...the panic is palpable! And there seems to be another movement happening #JustNotHolly. I will be voting Schulman, Enea and Diaz.

  11. If you want to end the divide and hostility on the council, skip the first one and vote for the next three. They may not agree on everything, but they will be civil about it.

  12. My wife and I moved here to Clayton because it is a safe, small town where it is a great town to raise a family. We enjoy the fact that we can walk to Downtown and be greeted at our favorite restaurants, have our kids constantly run into each other and get excited, and that we have an amazing family-oriented setting where respect for everyone is the standard.

I have to be honest and say that anyone who attacks Clayton as racist is extremely off-putting.

I am Mexican (my grandmother literally picked cotton at Hicks Camp in East LA when it was a barrio) and my wife is Filipino, and we have loved that our children who are mixed have had nothing but positive experiences here and have met so many other mixed kids (and even more Filipinos than we thought :) ).

We moved here for a reason -to raise a family in a safe, inclusive community, and to get away from all the fostered angst you get anywhere else.

I am sad to see someone put down what has been an amazing community to us, and bring the very types of divisive politics that are unhealthy.

Our family loves Clayton, and Clayton accepts anyone who shares our values of fostering our children as the next generation, and a safe a familiar place where everyone says, "Hello," and is willing to help each other out.

The character of Clayton is one to be proud of -anyone who wants to run saying otherwise is...ust odd.

  13. Holly and her husband Matt are living a charmed life.

They both attended UCLA and got a great education. They are gainfully employed professionals, have a nice home in a great neighborhood, their kids are going to good schools, they have lots of friends here in town, and Holly serves as a leader on our city council. They have much more than many others here in town.

Yet, they complain about how awful Clayton is because they’re Black, and somehow that cancels out all the benefits and opportunities they have. Clearly, they want to play victim because they think it will enhance their reputation in Clayton and garner sympathy. Such nonsense.

It’s time to let Holly know she can take her victim mentality somewhere else. She is toxic and disgusting for portraying Clayton as a bunch of racists.

    1. Identify politics, plain and simple. Most of Holly's supporters are all about identity politics, race, race baiting and virtue signaling and nothing more. Sadly, that's what Holly is all about, identity politics, race baiting and virtue signaling.

  14. The best thing that could happen for Clayton is for Holly and Matt to take their toxic slime somewhere else. Their true colors are shining, and they aren't pretty. It's all hate, mud-slinging, and blaming others.

  15. Holly Tillman, Clayton awaits a city-wide apology for your toxic, obnoxious, and rude behavior. I believe the entire city is owed reparations for your revolting behaviors and things said about this city.
