Thank You to the Community - From Rich Enea, and Jim Diaz

Here’s the latest scoop! Big thanks to the community from Rich Enea, and Jim Diaz. We’re still waiting to hear from Holly Tillman.

After a local election, it’s pretty standard for elected officials to introduce themselves and express their gratitude to the community.

Below, you’ll find two letters—one from Rich Enea and another from Jim Diaz—that were sent to Clayton Watch.

Just a reminder, the next council meeting is on Tuesday, December 17 at 7 PM. We hope to see you there! The council will be getting a makeover, and a new mayor will be appointed.

  1. It is so encouraging to have two more long-term residents of Clayton who know and understand how important it is to keep that small town charm and character that many of us moved here for… The Live And let live philosophy. And thank you both for your past long time service to Clayton in both law enforcement and on the council, and of course, as mayor. We appreciate you more than can be expressed in this short post.

  2. Thank you, Council Members Diaz and Enea, for recognizing Clayton's support in electing you. As a resident, I look forward to a collaborative council that can accomplish defined goals in a timely manner. Oh, please address the nonsense call for an investigation by Tillman with the city attorney. Unless an actual claim has been made, it needs to stop. Let the council move into the new year fresh and renewed.
I wish you and all of Clayton the Happiest of Holidays and a healthy New Year!

  3. Thank you Rich and Jim for putting yourselves out there. We are very lucky to have the two of you aboard.. Clayton is a special place and we need to keep it that way . The woke agenda that some are trying to push needs to be stepped on and rejected.

  4. Congratulations Rich and Jim. I am looking to a new year with continued leadership tackling all the important issues in Clayton. I guess Holly is still too busy trying to "understand" the budget to thank Clayton voters for re-electing her.

  5. Where are Holly’s comments? I am glad we have four council members that will represent all Clayton voters. Clayton Watch did you reach out to Holly for a comment?

    1. Yes. Everyone (Shulman, Enea, Diaz, and Tillman) got the same email request. Holly's request is below.

      Councilmember Tillman,

The Clayton Watch Team is reaching out to each of the four Clayton candidates for an opportunity to post their acceptance/concession messages to the community. Your unedited message will be posted on the Clayton Watch website along with the other three.

The Clayton Watch Team is extending an opportunity for you to publicize your personal message to the community and we look forward to your response.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

      The Clayton Watch Team.

    3. I guess she’s too busy trying to understand last years budget. And the division and arrogance continues. What happened to her stance (BS) on our police profile, Clayton is racist, and is a Sundown town? Lord help us.

  6. Thank you both for running no nonsense but caring for Clayton mostly campaigns.
Jim you're amazing service continues to be wanted and needed. Many many thanks!
Rich Hope this type of community service isn't as difficult as your prior policing of Clayton work. Very glad you came back to help.
I'm looking forward to a strong City Council for years to come.

    1. I am looking forward to having Holly as our city's mayor. I would see it hateful otherwise.

    2. Ed, As George Parker once said, “If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you"

    3. Ed, the council will elect someone they believe is qualified to lead the city for the next 12 months not a self centered wannabe.

    4. She is not even in the rotation. Frankly, given all the negative things she has said and posted about Clayton and fellow council members, she should NEVER be mayor. It's all on video and can be used against her. I would be pleased to see her pay for the toxic mess she has created. The City of Clayton needs, no deserves, mayors who love and serve Clayton and its residents, not a person with a personal agenda who isn't trustworthy and lies and manipulates to get her way. The next in rotation of the Mayor is Kim Trupiano, and she will be fantastic!

  7. Interesting how the Clayton Pioneer (Tamara Steiner and Peggy Spear) published an article with an outright lie about the vote tallies in what appears to be an effort to make Holly the mayor. Holly's supporters are more like a cult. Tamara Steiner calls herself a journalist when all she is is a propagandist for her whacked out politics. Peggy Spear has published so many articles with untruths, why is she still writing for the Pioneer? Because Tamara wants those kinds of lies. Holly would have been the mayor this year if she, Cloven and Wolfe had stuck to the rotation 4 years ago!

    1. I agree, the Pioneer is part of Holly ‘s campaign staff.

    2. The Pioneer is all about Holly and her family as if they were the only family in town. It's disgusting. The Tillmans and Tamara will get what's coming to them; karma is a bigger butch than those two!

  8. Peggy Spears is not a writer. She fakes her interviews and makes up things. She did it to Rich Enea and Maris Shulman during the election. She’s a joke like Tamrat!

  9. I just received the local birdcage liner in the mail. Well, well, well. Peggy Spear is as full of crap as Tamrat. The remarks about Clayton, as per usual, are in favor of toxic Tillman. (Tamrat’s beastie). Spear again makes unsubstantiated claims against Enea, Diaz, and Clayton Watch; what a joke!

  10. It is truly fortunate that we have Clayton Watch to monitor the situation. The individuals involved in this organization deserve recognition for their efforts. It is quite astonishing to consider how the local newspaper, along with certain CBCA members, has been misleading and engaged in questionable practices over the years.

  11. Deep sorry at learning of this event. I just shared a brief dialogue with her on next door and hoped things would change with this term. Perhaps the current event was motivated by her good showing in the election which could really inflate anyone’s ego.

This looks like a challenge for the coming term. The only good news is there is only one agitated Holly and four other voters. Or perhaps it was just a bad night and she will stunt everyone with her brilliance in the future. She is not a dumb person but I’m at a loss to understand her motivation.

Holly, wouldn’t it be nice if you used this forum to explain your motivation. You know I consider you a patriot and was hoping you would see your fellow council folks as patriots as well. I didn’t think anyone “has it out for you”. Just settle and ride ups and downs like everyone else. I would love to see a unified council for once.

I trust you will be labeled a star at the end of this term. I’m rooting for you.

    1. Roger, Holly isn't interested in working with fellow council members. Holly wants everything her way and her way only. She also always wants the glory for never actually doing the hard work but having her picture taken pretending to work. Her supporters need to stop drinking the Holly Kool-Aid.

    2. Holly is in over her head for the council member role; ample evidence. She and sycophants so marginalized.
