Important Update from the Clayton Watch Team
Dear Clayton Community,
It has come to our attention that several letters sent to Contra Costa County regarding the Civil Grand Jury Report have not been properly posted on the Clayton Watch website.
To view the correspondence, please visit:
https://www.claytonwatch.org/2025/06/contra-costa-county-civil-grand-jury.html
The Clayton Watch Team has submitted two formal letters, addressed to the judge, the jury foreperson, and the Board of Supervisors, respectfully requesting a reply. As of today, no response has been received.
We are currently considering whether to send a third and final letter and notify the media about this continued disregard for the public. These officials were elected to serve the community and are funded by taxpayer dollars. Ignoring public concerns is unacceptable.
We will keep you updated on any further developments.
Additionally, a Public Information Request (PIR) was filed with Contra Costa County.
To view that correspondence and the County’s response, visit:
https://www.claytonwatch.org/2025/07/public-information-request-7-8-25.html
Thank you for staying informed and engaged.
Sincerely,
The Clayton Watch Team
Thanks for the update, you guys rock. Thank you for all your hard work.
ReplyDeleteI’m glad someone had the guts to call out the county officials. John R

We all know, the Civil Grand Jury investigation was a political witch-hunt pushed by the Pioneer, Tillman and a former city manager. It looks like they are all trying to cover up the politicalization of the civil grand jury process. Thank you CW.
ReplyDeleteThank you for standing up for Clayton. We must ensure that a small group of activists doesn't undermine our town just because they're no longer in control. In my opinion, with Pierce having moved to Vegas, Cloven not running for re-election last year, Steiner closing her doors at the Pioneer, and Tillman being the odd person out, it's time for the town to move forward with fresh leadership. Our new mayor and three sane council member seem to have us on the right track.
ReplyDeleteI stand firm in my belief that Pierce remains deeply entrenched in Clayton's political landscape, primarily as a staunch supporter of Tillman. Until the supporters of Tillman recognize that this isn’t a battle between Clayton and them, the hostility will persist. Just look at Tillman’s husband, Matt—he’s parading around in Clayton hats worn upside down and backward. This isn't a sign of unity. Holly’s entire family, including her daughters, is joining in on this divisive display.
DeleteWe need to question why we continue to foster hatred, division, and a refusal to collaborate for progress. The issues plaguing this town stem from the actions of the Tillmans, Cloven, and others who are advancing an agenda of negativity. The CBCA has been one of the foremost groups perpetuating this climate of animosity, and so have the Tillmans. What’s their endgame? Recognition? Power? Control? Their actions have inflicted harm on the town and its residents as a whole.
To Holly's supporters—are you truly unable to think for yourselves? Or have you been deceived by her manipulation, lies, and false persona? Holly is NOT, and let me emphasize, NOT a good person at her core. After years of friendship and witnessing her deceitful tactics firsthand, I can confidently say this. She exploits her race to manipulate others when things don’t go her way. It's unacceptable. While she presents herself as educated, she often resorts to her race as a means to guilt white individuals into submission. This behavior is reprehensible, and I deeply regret ever being her friend.
i would confirm your assessment of Julie Peirce. She not only was "loose with the truth" she was a morally challenged person. A useful idiot for Tammara and Tillman.
DeleteI’m glad I was notified by email of this post or otherwise I would have missed it. These are great letters and call out the people that represent us. I hope you receive the response you’re looking for. Thanks for keeping me informed and thanks for all you do for this small town.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the email. Great information.
ReplyDeleteIf it wasn’t for your email, I wouldn’t have known about any of this. Thanks for watching out for our small town. My wife and I will be making a donation next week.
ReplyDeleteThe trust in government has gotten terribly low for reasons like this situation demonstrates. A non-answer is admitting their failure as a responsible governing body for the people of CCC, dissapointing and sad.
