So, after we dropped an update about the Parking Permit Program on Next Door and Clayton Watch yesterday, Holly Tillman finally popped back up after being MIA for about 8 weeks. It seems like she’s putting the blame for the radio silence on Jeff Wan. You’d think if she noticed he hadn’t responded, she would’ve reached out to him. Maybe it’s just campaign season that got her to finally check in... after 11:30 p.m.

Letecia “Holly” Tillman Mon, Aug 19, 11:30 PM (9 hours ago) to Jeff, William, me
Good evening, All.
Jeff, thank you for responding. I recall you wanted to take the lead and take the first attempt of a draft proposal and share with me for feedback. After we agree on a draft we would then bring back to council.
I completely agree with your explanation regarding our priority of finding a permanent city manager. That’s such a vital first priority to finalize so Clayton can be managed efficiently.

I hope we can work to have a functioning council that supports our new city manager — the Clayton residents and staff deserve stability in City Hall.

Holly would have never responded unless you had exposed her. She's polarizing , disruptive, dividing, and a troublemaker. Tillman must go. She should have followed Cloven's lead. At least he did the right thing and decided not to run. Why is the Clayton community so divided? Just ask Cloven, Tillman, and Wolfe. It all started 3 1/2 years ago.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely right. The lefties in town yearn for the Julie Pierce days when everything was controlled by CBCA. The landscape has changed, and they don’t like it.
DeleteThe CBCA is a corrupt organization. Just ask the Boy Scouts. If you are new to our city, stay away from that group. If you thought high school “clicks” were bad, you've seen nothing yet.
DeleteFor the three council members mentioned in the prior comment, everything is always Jeff Wan's fault. It doesn't matter that they had the majority and could have fixed the budget, done a better evaluation of the problems at city hall, they blame Jeff for everything. It's no wonder 2 of them decided not to run after one term! Holly Tillman will have to answer to the voters for her actions and the actions of Wolfe and Cloven in 2020 and 2021 when they decided that passing over Vice Mayor Jeff Wan was a good thing. They had only one goal, to push out Jeff Wan and discount 2800+ citizens that voted for him. The question going forward is, does Clayton need more of this? Do we need another 4 years of finger pointing and no action? Holly Tillman has no desire to work with anyone unless they 100% agree with her.
ReplyDeleteI'm so tired of the blame Jeff montra. Holly should take ownership of her nonsense and move on; more people would respect that approach. Holly is as transparent as mud! She should also tell Mr Miller to quiet down, he is not helping her cause.
ReplyDeleteTo Ms. Tillman & others - I have a question: how much time does the project that is the nexus of this permit program have before they will either need to resubmit or ask for an extension As of now at present have had limited work done on the property (I am assuming to pretend to go forward) and now it sits hanging over our community? Once this is determined and assuming there will be need for one if we are diligent in our enforcement, since the project is the cause of this issue and the associated expense (i.e. the costs to initiate the infrastructure required such as permits, signs etc. and there will be obvious admin. and enforcement costs),Bill & others including Ms. Tillman - I have a question for those that know :) How much time does the project that is the nexus of this permit program have before they will either need to resubmit or ask for an extension? Once determined and since the project will cause an expense (i.e. the costs to initiate the infrastructure required such as permits, signs etc. and there will be obvious admin. and enforcement costs), why not as a matter of policy and part of any program that evolves state the City will either condition the development for the entire costs AND levy an annual assessment to cover the program. I would like to see this added to the discussion in fairness to the rest of the taxpaying citizens of Clayton; why is there not as a matter of policy and part of any program that we develop, a push from the City leadership that will either condition the development for the ENTIRE costs of this program AND INCLUDING an annual levy or assessment to cover the program. I would like to see this perspective added immeditely to the discussion as it is only fair to the rest of the taxpaying citizens of Clayton.
ReplyDeleteTilman is in over her head for the city council role. Her reply here is pointless. Time to vote in a new council member to replace her. Our lovely town deserves better.
ReplyDeleteHolly’s words, “I completely agree with your explanation regarding our priority of finding a permanent city manager. That’s such a vital first priority to finalize so Clayton can be managed efficiently.” I completely disagree with Holly, her explanation for not responding to the public is unacceptable and try’s to put the blame on Jeff Wan.. The public should be her priority! The city can and will be managed effectively once she takes her woke agenda and leaves town. Thank god Cloven “the wonder boy” is gone.
ReplyDeleteHer excuse for not voting for the budget was even better!
DeleteExcuse, reminded of the "dog ate my homework"!
