Dear Clayton Community,
During the recent city council meeting on December 17th, there was a notable
incident involving council member Holly Tillman, who expressed her concerns in a rather aggressive manner. She alleged that Clayton Watch, a political action committee, was improperly using her personal email address to reach out to her and threatened them by saying this was illegal.
This assertion is far from accurate. Allow me to clarify. On December 13th, Clayton Watch received an email from Tamara Steiner of the Clayton Pioneer, in which she acknowledged that Peggy Spears, one of her writers, had made a significant error by misquoting the vote count from our previous city council election.
In the same email she asked the Clayton Watch Team to create and post a comment on the Clayton Watch website on her behalf, which was rejected by the Clayton Watch Team.
In this communication, Tamara included Holly Tillman (using Holly's personal email), Rich Enea, and Clayton Watch in the Cc field. When the Clayton Watch Team replied to Tamara’s email, they utilized the “Reply All” function, which clearly included the Cc information from Tamara’s original message. See image above.

Apparently, Tamara has been communicating with Councilmember Tillman via her personal email instead of Holly's city email address. Makes you wonder why? Is Tamara trying to hide her correspondence with Tillman from the public and the council? Besides, if Holly has any grievances about her personal email address being exposed, they should be directed towards her mouth piece, Tamara Steiner, at the Clayton Pioneer, not Clayton Watch.
Additionally, after reflecting on Holly’s claims and discussing them with other community members, a pertinent question arises: why is Tamara Steiner and the Clayton Pioneer communicating with council member Holly Tillman through her personal email? It may be worthwhile to investigate their (Tamara’s and Holly’s) previous communications to understand the context better.
Perhaps it is time for someone to submit a public records request to uncover the possible origins of past leaks from city hall that have appeared in the Clayton Pioneer that have cause much of the division in our small little town. The call for a Grand Jury investigation should be directed towards them (Tamara Steiner and Holly Tillman) since their the ones that seem to be undermining city staff and the community. https://claytonca.gov/fc/city-clerk/public-records-requests/public-records-request-form.pdf.

Just stop.
ReplyDeleteEd, You are right. Holly needs to stop the BS.
DeleteI saw this somewhere on the Clayton Watch website. Special note to Holly Tillman - If you do something long enough, you get good at it…..and that includes “BS” - SO TRUE!
DeleteA Grand Jury investigation directed towards Tamara Steiner and Holly Tillman is great idea. Thank you Clayton Watch for getting the truth out there. You guys rock.
ReplyDeleteHolly quibbles over which or whether verbiage, and that is what her buddy Tamara was doing online. Hmmm, I think Holly and Tamara colluded over what should have been Holly's arguments last night. I'm sure Tamara and her other lackey at ccnews will be making a stink. Crazy is as crazy does.
DeleteThank the Lord, no more phone calls, especially from the one who thinks they are a sixth council member, Matt Tillman. Stay in your lane. Your wife made her mess, and you are always speaking up, which shows that she and you are not on solid political ground.
Given all the accusations from Holly Tillman towards every one of her colleagues, this is an interesting development. Tamara communicates with Holly over her personal email. Why? To avoid the city’s record keeping? A request for information would be very interesting. By now Holly has probably “wiped” the drive like Hillary did!
ReplyDelete😂😂😂😂
DeleteHolly as the old saying goes” People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw rocks”
ReplyDeleteHolly has repeatedly shown she is a liar. Her followers are an angry cult she leads around by the nose. If you challenge Holly in any manner, she attacks with “ you lie,” “not true,” “or the best one with the videos of her acting out is “ they are voiced over.” When you care about people, the community, and humanity, you must remain humble, kind, and helpful. You don't boast about what you do; you do it quietly. Those you help are the ones who need to know; you don't do it for awards, recognition, or to have your picture taken. Holly could learn much about humility and apologize for mistakes, but she won't. Holly will, though, continually lie, boast about herself, and point out others' flaws.
DeleteFormer President Jimmy Carter may not have been a political powerhouse. Still, he had something more critical Holly will never have: humility, love for humanity in his heart, and a sincere wish to help everyone, not just those on the agenda.
We finally have a group in Clayton that is keeping the council accountable. And it’s not the CBCA. Kim, Jeff, Jim, and Rich can finally get something done. Go team!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree
DeleteVery informative report from Clayton watch. Thank You. It's good that Tamara uncovered a private relationship with Holly by sending Clayton watch that email.
ReplyDeleteTamara did not reveal any new information. She just got caught along with Holly Tillman. Both Tillman and Tamara have been revealed for their deceitful methods of communication. It is now clear to everyone the source of the leaks at city hall. Holly must be removed from her position.
DeleteAgreed!
DeleteIt goes along with when Jeff had his town hall. Holly lied about talking to the city attorney about attending. She sat with Tamara, feeding her questions, which Tamara would then ask. Jeff called her on it, and Holly lied by denying it. Funny, quite a few citizens witnessed it and verified what happened. This alone should have had her removed from the council.
DeleteWe have all had enough of Holly’s disruptive grandstanding and unfounded accusations about everyone that doesn’t agree with her.
ReplyDeleteHolly’s evil groupies accused the other four council members of collusion last night, which I find hysterical. Collusion is exactly what Wolfe, Cloven, and Tillman did extensively. Tillman continued with Cloven when Wolfe was gone; she admitted it herself at the council meeting on 1/7/25. I appreciate Mayor Trupiano addressing Tillman's head-on accusations. What isn't understood is that HR matters ARE NOT public fodder as Holly wants. The city can not disclose an employee complaint until it reaches a certain point. The community should ask WHY Tillman and Cloven are involved in an employee's personal matter, making it public unless it's one of them. I am sure the city attorney has told Tillman this but can not or will not accept the answer and keeps pushing an agenda that could cause the city a personal liability suit. I'm happy more rational minds are at the helm. Tillman must be a nightmare to work with. I am thrilled I am not associated with her or the rude, angry, sorted bunch that supports her.
ReplyDeleteWow! Isn't she supposed to be the vice president of operations at Choice in Aging? You would think she would know about HR rules and employee confidentiality. It makes you question how she got that job. She sure isn't qualified to run anything. Maybe the CEO of Choice in Aging and its directors should be made aware that Holly wants personnel records exposed to the public; I wonder how they would feel knowing she could do the same there.
DeleteA big Thank You to the publisher/s of Clayton Watch for providing insight into matters affecting Claytonians, and a platform to share our opinions.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking out against Holly Tillman wasn’t allowed in 2020. You were instantly labeled a racist. The cloud of censorship against anyone who was protected by wokeness, political correctness, and cancel culture of the last 4 years made it impossible to say anything about Holly Tillman and her inability to work with anyone other than progressives. That mindset is in retreat. While it is true Holly Tillman managed to get herself re-elected, it doesn’t change that she enjoys a protection the others on the council don’t. There are two other minority council members yet Holly Tillman’s supporters have routinely called them racists. Holly is the only one who gets to claim minority status. She can make wild accusations and with the help of Tamara Steiner who is all about cancel culture, we have to believe every accusation no matter how wild. We should all question what is it Tamara and Holly want. It seems all they want is chaos. Their personal hatred of anyone who doesn’t have their politics is what drives them.
ReplyDeleteHateful, evil people
DeleteThank you, Clayton Watch, for publishing the truth and allowing different opinions to be expressed. This is a welcomed change.
ReplyDelete4-1 will be common. Holly has nothing to lose now by voting against everything. Clayton Watch should start a betting line on how she will vote for the budget in June. Odds are very high she will vote no for a third year in a row!
ReplyDelete🎲🎲🎲
DeleteAs Abraham Lincoln wisely stated, “You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” Holly the gig is up, it’s time to go!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
DeleteYou know Holly is losing it. She is attacking residents on social media, and it is time for her to go!
ReplyDeleteThe problem isn't about Holly's political stance or beliefs, it's about fundamental character flaws. If a person truly believes in an idea, or the best path forward for the folks that gave them the gift of their vote, they should have the ability to listen more than speak. They should be able to appreciate opposing views and participate in constructive debate in a way that allows others to be open to their ideas. Holly likes to hear her own voice. She's aggressive and confrontational with other council members. She is completely void of humility and the ability to apologize for mistakes or the toe she has stepped on. Because of this Holly will never be able to listen, and Holly will remain part of the problem. Confrontation is sport for her and it's herself she serves not Clayton.
